Simply the Best Education Service has significantly enhanced both the quality and breadth of our PE provision. As PE Lead, I have seen the impact first-hand — high-quality, inclusive lessons for pupils alongside tailored professional development that upskills our staff and strengthens whole-school practice.

Children genuinely look forward to their sessions each week. Lessons are engaging, well-structured and aligned with our wider curriculum, and their support with competitions enables more pupils to participate and represent the school with confidence. Their extracurricular clubs further enrich our offer, increasing participation and enthusiasm for physical activity across all year groups.

From a safeguarding perspective, the holiday camps we host on site — welcoming both our pupils and children from other schools — provide a safe, structured and nurturing environment. The opportunity to offer funded or reward places for vulnerable pupils strengthens our wider safeguarding approach and ensures continued support beyond term time.

The quality of teaching and sport coaching is excellent. Staff demonstrate strong subject knowledge and deliver well structured, engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils of all ages and abilities. Teaching is purposeful and inclusive, with clear expectations for behaviour and participation. Assessment is used effectively to support pupils’ progress and confidence, ensuring that all children are active, motivated and supported to develop their skills.

In addition to direct teaching, Simply the Best Education Service provides valuable support and mentoring for school staff. Their coaches work collaboratively with teachers, offering guidance, modelling effective practice and supporting staff to develop confidence and expertise in teaching physical education. This professional approach ensures that provision is well aligned with school priorities and contributes positively to staff development.

The summer holiday clubs provided have been particularly successful. They offer a safe, welcoming and well organised, fun, environment where pupils remain active, build friendships and continue to enjoy positive routines outside term time. Activities are varied and engaging, supporting pupils’ physical wellbeing as well as their social development.

Simply the Best Education Service are just that – Simply the Best!

Simply the Best at supporting my teaching team of non-specialist PE teachers who, before working alongside Rebecca and her coaching team, were apprehensive about their ability to deliver high quality P.E lessons. Now, after working collaboratively with the Simply the Best team, my staff have acquired the skills, expertise and confidence to plan, deliver and assess all elements of the Primary P.E. Curriculum.

Simply the Best at teaching high quality and inclusive P.E. lessons from Reception through the Year 6.  The quality of teaching is excellent. Coaches consistently demonstrate strong subject knowledge. Lessons have clear aims and objectives and children of all ages and abilities (including those with SEND) are challenged and supported to be the best that they can be. 

Simply the Best at enhancing our extracurricular offer. Thanks to Rebecca and her coaches, we now are able to offer a wide variety of extracurricular clubs that run before, during and after school. Clubs on offer are changed half-termly in order to offer as many different sports as possible. Alongside the traditional sports of football, netball, rugby, hockey, basketball, cricket and rounders, alternative sports like scooter boards, hula huts, quidditch and glow sports are also offered in order to attract as many children as possible. The clubs are so popular that many are filled within a day of being launched.

Simply the Best at supporting my school staff in training our sports teams so that the children are able to compete competitively, and successfully - at a high level, in local sporting events and tournaments. Their invaluable help and support have enabled more of our children to participate in local events – enabling more of our children to feel a sense of pride in being chosen to represent their school.

Simply the Best at offering fun-filled holiday clubs – on the school site – for many of our children, and children from other local schools, who need care during the holiday periods. These holiday clubs offer our children a safe space to spend their time whilst their parents are at work. The clubs offer a variety of fun-filled, activities – often around a theme – which appeal to children of all ages.

All in all, Simply the Best Education Services have quickly become a vital, integral part of our school community.  Their dedication, professionalism and commitment to our children are second to none. Nothing is too much trouble!

As a parent, I honestly can’t recommend this sports camp highly enough. From the very first day, the team made both me and my child feel completely at ease. The coaches are energetic, professional, and genuinely care about every child’s development — not just in sport, but in confidence and teamwork too. The holiday club is just fantastic. Every day is packed with exciting activities, sports, and creative games that keep the children active and engaged. My child comes home happy, tired, and full of stories about new friends and skills they’ve learned.

This service was exceptional! They were courteous, professional, and ensured that every detail was taken care of. I couldn't be happier with the delivery across the lessons.
